#WorldJollofRiceDay
Happy #WorldJollofRiceDay!
Yes, this is an actual day, where Jollof rice is celebrated… dance with me! 22nd August, make sure you write it down.
In the spirit of Jollof rice we all know it’s that one dish you just have to have whether it’s your friend’s house, BBQ, at home or even at an African Party but where did it come from?
Jollof rice is also known as ‘J Rice’ is a one pot dish that goes all the way back to the Senegambia
region of West Africa. As we all know the original ingredients to make Jollof rice are, fresh tomatoes, onion, salt, rice and pepper; but today Jollof can be prepared in many ways by different people but the ingredients stay the same.
